Seychelles

The most photogenic beaches on Earth — but budget carefully

Giant granite boulders + white sand + turquoise water is a look you'll only find here and on a few Thai islands. Praslin and La Digue are cheaper than Mahé, and self-catering apartments cut the food cost that ruins most Seychelles budgets.

Why go

  • Anse Source d'Argent (La Digue) — arguably the most-photographed beach on Earth
  • Vallée de Mai UNESCO forest (Praslin) — home of coco-de-mer
  • Zero visa hassle for almost every passport
  • Bikes are the main transport on La Digue — no traffic

The beaches worth your day

Anse Source d'Argent, La Digue

The boulders shot. Small entry fee via L'Union Estate — go at 8am for empty sand.

Anse Lazio, Praslin

The 'best beach' most locals recommend. Snorkelable, protected.

Anse Georgette, Praslin

Guarded by a resort — book a lunch there for beach access.

How to book smart

Seychelles (SEZ) via Doha or Nairobi is often cheaper than Emirates direct. Self-catering + Cat Cocos ferry between islands cuts costs 30–40%.

The honest downside

Restaurant food is punishing ($30+ for basic pasta). Rent an apartment with a kitchen or hit the takeaway shacks on La Digue.
